Great experience with Misaki. She is really lovely and bubbly to talk to :") I speak abit of Japanese and interacted with her throughout the session. Overall, it was a comfortable session with her, just like speaking to a friend. In terms of hair colour, I was quite satisfied with it. As I have dyed my hair black 6 months ago, I wasn't expecting to achieve my favourite light ash brown colour. But it actually turned out great! (For those of you who want to dye your hair again after dyeing it black, do check if the black dye has faded. For me I washed it everyday so the hair dye pretty much faded during my visit to Bump). Misaki was also attentive to my needs. Overall, I'm quite satisfied and will definitely recommend it to my friends.

Assigned to Seiji. The main perk is that the salon ambience is really nice. I asked for a bob, which ended up being way shorter than I wanted, and he gave a rather helmet-looking cut. Which would have been fine if there weren't strands of long hair still coming out under the shorter one. Fringe was not well cut either - a there's a mid-length layer from my old fringe that's lying somewhere between the shorter fringe and longer ends that just looks weird. Think I need to go for another cut to solve these issues. Definitely won't be returning again when my hair (finally) grows out.

This was my 1st time trying out this hair salon after seeing some good reviews that their hair colour service was good. I had gone to a number of good Japanese hair salon and thought this was also a good try. When I entered there was no drink ie water or tea offered, which to me was still acceptable. I had Misaki the hair stylist. I opted for normal brown hair colour without bleach and opted for tokio inkarami treatment. The hair dye was done pretty fast and at first I thought the hair treatment service was good. However, after leaving the salon I realised that quite a number of my white hair wasn’t dyed at all and it was sticking like a sore thumb. I had wanted to go back to enquire but felt that their service wasn’t good enough for me to feel comfortable to do so. It is impossible that she didn’t see these white hair sticking out. I believe that dyeing white hair will be something that the hair stylist would naturally try to focus on and it’s quite a given when you opt for hair colour but I am disappointed and will probably never come back. I will stick to my usual Japanese hair salon. :(

My hair was absolutely taken care of. Firstly, there was understanding of my hair type and Mayu gave me advice to which treatment to pursue. No hardselling of the more expensive treatments and recommended a treatment that was appropriate for my hair. Despite it being the last booking for the day and agreeing that there was only time for a hair treatment she took her time to give my hair a nice trim - didn't feel pressured at all. Moreover, the session didn't feel awkward. Mayu was friendly to converse with and give me 'space' as well. The hair treatment currently feels really good and soft and as flowy as I had hoped; from previously damaged hair from swimming . Hair was trimmed appropriately. Steamed towel during the treatment was shiok.

Perfect! Attempted a ‘huge chop’ on a whim with my shoulder length hair... the hairstyle is trendy and stylish enough to surprise! I.m extremely pleased with my hairstyle and received multiple compliments from friends, even people I met. Will definitely recommend to my contacts, in fact my daughter and a friend have experienced the good services from the stylists at this salon.

I have been with Many when she first started in Singapore. She is the best hairdresser I have ever came across. Always can deliver what I saw in Pinterest and turn it to be my style as well! Cannot speak highly of her skill, personality and fashion sense!

Was my first time at Bump Rochester and I had such a lovely experience. Misaki was so gentle, attentive, and detailed. My hair was well taken care of throughout the entire process. Got a colour, highlights, treatment and cut. Extremely pleased with the result. Highly recommend!

I really liked the dedicated attention by Misaki from start to end, and the entire experience was calm and relaxing. The whole process of colouring, treatment and styling was done in 2hrs. I wanted a warm brown hair colour to complement my complexion and Misaki recommended a beautiful purple garnet brown for me that was natural yet stunning! I also liked how Milbon treatment softened and smoothened out my hair. Love the colour and the look of my new style :D will definitely be back at Bump again.

I've been going to Bump Rochester for a year. My stylist, Mayu, is very friendly and professional. She will give her suggestions to the hair style/color that I want and modify it to suit my face shape/skin tone. She also shared with me little tips and tricks for styling my hair everyday and I'm always satisfied after each visit!

As you can see from the title, I’m truly an indecisive client. From my nail colour to my hair style, I don’t really know what I want to do with it. I remember the first time coming in, I knew I want a perm that’s aLl ... but no idea what length I want it, what kind of look I want. I mean I have some photos I like but it’s seriously, all over the place. My stylist- Mayu, heard my concerns and guide me along. Letting me know what would suit me and how should I go about there after. After that experience, I always come in and just entrust my mane to her. Today I’m back with “ I need a hair cut” and everything else is up to her.

Searching through beautyundercover for salon located in the west area and get to know bump. Hence, decided to book an appointment with the salon after reading so many good review. Did it through WhatsApp so its very convenient. Indeed, the experience was very good. Went there for rebonding and perm. I had Mayu as my stylist and she was very attentive in getting to know the style that I want. In the end, she decided to go for rebonding and random c curl at the end of my hair. The end result was very good and I love it alot! It looks very natural and definitely the type of natural perm that I looking for. Mayu is also very friendly and constantly making sure that I'm comfortable through the whole process. The salon is located at Rochester mall, which is just 5 mins walk from buona vista mrt. Would recommend to book an appointment in advance as it was crowded when I went last Sunday.

One of the best experience at the hair salon. He was experienced and made recommendation. to allow me to achieve the color i wanted, so glad i heeded his advice. He was polite and patient throughout. Even though i stayed past closing hours, he was dedicated and showed no signs of impatience and rush during the process. Overall, a great experience and very satisfied with the outcome.

Had a balayage done with ash brown but the effect was bad, nothing near what I wanted. Went to BUMP and Sone assisted to rescue my hair within 2hours as compared to me having sat 5hours to do a bayalage. Appreciate Sone’s professionalism and insightful comments & suggestions. Overall, the place was also pleasant and easy to find. Would recommend!
